Free Eye Treatment Camp
Today, 5.1.25, a free eye treatment camp was organized at Sri Bharathi School, Rayakottai, on behalf of Krishnagiri Kurinji International Trust, Rayakottai Port Arima Sangam, and Dr. Agarwal Eye Research Center, Chennai, in commemoration of the 5th anniversary of the birth of Bharathi Educational Institutions Chairman Amarar G. Somu (A) Lakshmana Perumal. More than 200 people underwent eye tests, and 40 individuals were referred to Dr. Agarwal Eye Hospital, Chennai, for free eye treatment for the first time.

On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, a free eye treatment camp was organized by Hosur SIPCOT ARIMA Sangam, Kurinji International Trust, Krishnagiri Sri Saraswathi Hospital, and Chennai Dr. Agarwal's Eye Research Center in collaboration with Kurinji Eye Examination Center, Krishnagiri. Nawab, Chief Medical Officer of Nalam Dental Hospital Dr. Anbuchelvan, and Former Joint Director of Welfare Dr. Thirthagiri participated and graced the occasion.

On the occasion of India's Republic Day, a free eye treatment camp was organized by the Polur Rotary Association. More than 100 beneficiaries participated, and 20 individuals were selected and referred to Dr. Agarwal Eye Hospital and Eye Research Center, Chennai, for further treatment.
Free Medical Camp
On 16.02.2025, LIONS CLUB HOSUR MAIN, in association with Hosur Main Arima Sangam under the Veppanahalli Legislative Assembly constituency, organized a free medical camp. The camp was initiated by Karunai Pulmonary Treatment Centre - Krishnagiri, Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Research Centre - Chennai, and Krishnagiri Kurinji International Trust. It included general medical check-ups, lung, heart, and diabetes screenings, as well as free eye treatment. AIADMK Deputy General Secretary, Veppanahalli Legislative Assembly Member, and Former Minister Mr. KP Munusamy BABL MLA participated in the event along with LIONS CLUB HOSUR MAIN officials, administrators, district union representatives, Nagara Perur branch secretaries, and club volunteers.
General Medical Camp & Awareness on the Dangers of Illicit Liquor and Drugs
A free medical camp was organized at Mathur Government Panchayat Union Primary School, Krishnagiri District, by the Indian Red Cross Society – Cauverypattinam Sub-Branch, the Krishnagiri District Health Department, Aram Seed Trust, Kurinji International Trust – Krishnagiri, and the Alcohol Prohibition and Excise Department. The camp was inaugurated by Mathur Police Inspector Mr. Balamurugan in the presence of Mr. Madhaiyan, Assistant Director of Krishnagiri District Health Services. More than 250 members of the public attended the camp, where they were examined and provided with medicines by a medical team from BSV Hospital, including Dr. Kaviyarasan and Dr. Kokila, along with doctors from SVN Hospital.

Hosur Rose City Arima Sangam, Krishnagiri Kurinji International Trust, Krishnagiri Karunai Pulmonary Treatment Center, and Chennai Dr. Agarwal Eye Research Center jointly organized a free general medical camp (focusing on eye, lung, and diabetes screenings) at the Krishnagiri Kurinji Eye Examination Center today, 23.02.2025. The camp was inaugurated by Krishnagiri District Disabled Welfare Officer, Mr. Murugesan. More than 150 people benefited from the camp by receiving lung and eye check-ups. The President of Hosur Rose City Arima Sangam, along with other administrators, participated and extended their felicitations.

On the occasion of the 72nd birthday of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, a free eye treatment camp and a free dental check-up camp were held in Perumukai village, Vellore district, on March 8, 2025. Vellore MLA Mr. Pa. Karthikeyan inaugurated the camp, while Vellore Union President Mrs. Amudha Gnanasekaran presided over the event. The camp was organized by Deputy Collector Mr. Vijayan, benefiting over 200 people through eye and dental check-ups.

Hosur Impact Arima Sangam, Krishnagiri Kurinji International Trust, and Learning Links Foundation jointly organized an awareness program on March 17 and 18, 2025, for the people of the hill villages in Kalingavaram and Enusonai, Soolagiri Union. The program focused on educating them about the harmful effects of plastic, tobacco, drugs, and cancer.

A free mental health counseling camp was organized on behalf of Kurinji International Trust on 30.03.2025. The session was led by District Psychiatrist Dr. Gopi, and more than 50 individuals received counseling.

A free eye treatment camp and an awareness program on eye donation were organized by the Rotary Club of Chettupet and Kurinji International Trust, Krishnagiri, on Sunday, April 23, 2025, at Jayaramesh Wedding Hall, Chettupet. The camp benefited over a hundred participants.
World Optometry Day Celebration
World Optometry Day was celebrated on March 23 at the Kurinji International Trust office in Krishnagiri, recognizing the contributions of optometrists in eye care and vision improvement. Organized by the Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri District Sight Loss Prevention Association under the chairmanship of Mr. E. Velayudham, Former District Project Manager, the event honored the eye examiners working in the institution for their dedicated service.
General Medical Camp
On Sunday, 6.4.2025, a free general medical camp was organized in memory of the first death anniversary of former Panchayat President Amarar Sahadeva. The camp was held at Kitampatti village, Bennagaram Union, Dharmapuri District, and was jointly organized by the medical team of Kurinji International Trust, Krishnagiri, and the renowned Pritham Hospital, Salem, on behalf of his family. The camp included consultations in general medicine, cardiology, orthopedics (bone and joint health), women’s health, and ophthalmology. Over 200 people attended the camp, received medical examinations, medicines, and benefited from the services provided. Food was served to all attendees. We extend our sincere thanks to Mr. S. Sakthivel for his efforts in organizing and coordinating this meaningful event.

On Sunday, 13.4.2025, a free general medical camp was conducted at Thottapalayam, Vellore City, jointly organized by the Tamil Nadu Victory Party, Kurinji International Trust, Krishnagiri, and the medical team from Dr. Agarwal's Eye Hospital, Chennai, along with general physicians affiliated with the TVK party. The camp provided consultations in general medicine, cardiology, orthopedics (bone and joint care), women's health, and ophthalmology. More than 300 people benefited by undergoing medical check-ups and receiving necessary medicines. The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Velmurugan, Vellore West District Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Victory Party. The event was well-coordinated by the senior executives of the TVK party. Karimangalam DNC Charitable Organization, in association with Krishnagiri Kurinji International Trust, Aaradhya Hospital, and SVN Hospital, jointly organized a free general medical camp for women on 29.04.2025 at the DNC Charitable Organization office in Karimangalam. The camp focused on women's health, including bone and joint care, and eye examinations. Over 200 women participated and benefited from blood pressure and blood sugar level tests, medical consultations, and prescriptions from specialist doctors. As part of the initiative, Dr. J. Bhuvaneswari conducted an awareness session on breast cancer, empowering the participants with vital health knowledge. The camp was successfully coordinated by Mr. Arima.T. Govindaswamy, Director of DNC Charitable Organization, along with the support of the organization's dedicated staff.

District Authorities Approve Free Eye Camp in Chittoor
On 2.06.2025, Dr. Apritha met with the District Project Manager of the Chittoor District Blindness Prevention Association and the District Collector of Chittoor, Mr. Sumit Kumar, I.A.S., to discuss the organization of a free eye treatment camp in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. Following the consultation, a letter of permission was granted.

Transforming Lives Through Vision Care: A Heartwarming Success Story
A free eye check-up camp was jointly organized by Kurinji International Trust, Krishnagiri, Hosur Main Arima Sangam, and Krishnagiri SVN Eye and Child Welfare Hospital on 21.03.2025 at Chamalpallam Panchayat Union Primary School, Soolagiri Union, Krishnagiri District. During the camp, Master M. Udayakumar, a fourth-grade student from Chamalpallam and son of T/P Muniraj, was diagnosed with severe visual impairment and recommended for Glued IOL surgery in both eyes. Thanks to timely intervention, he underwent a free right-eye surgery at Dr. Agarwal's Eye Research Center, Chennai, performed by Dr. Ashwin Agarwal and his medical team. The surgery was successful, and the child has now regained his sight in that eye. On 20.07.2025, Udayakumar's family met with us personally to express their heartfelt gratitude. His left-eye surgery is scheduled for next week, and necessary arrangements have already been made in coordination with the hospital.

More than 1,000 students underwent eye examinations, and 140 of them were provided with free eyeglasses sponsored by SIPCOT Arima Sangam and ACE Electricals management.

More than 800 students underwent eye examinations, and 166 of them were provided with free eyeglasses sponsored by Rose City Arima Sangam.

The camp was organized by Dr. Agarwal's Eye Research Center, Hosur Grand Rotary Association, and Kurinji International Trust. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. B. Lakshmi Sri, Chief Medical Officer of Hosur District Government Head Hospital. The program was well coordinated by the Chairman and administrators of the Hosur Grand Rotary Association. More than 2,100 students underwent eye examinations, and 462 of them were provided with free eyeglasses sponsored by the Hosur Grand Rotary Association.
Free Eye Check-up Camp
An eye examination program titled Vision – 8000 Hosur Students' Vision 2025 was conducted for government school students in Hosur city from 01.09.2025 to 04.09.2025. The program covered schools including R.V. Boys' Higher Secondary School (Kamarajnagar), Government Girls' Higher Secondary School (Mullainagar), Government Higher Secondary School (Jujuwadi), and Pettrapalli Corporation Middle School. The ophthalmology team from Dr. Agarwal's Eye Research Centre Foundation, Chennai, carried out comprehensive eye examinations for around 8,000 students. Following the screening, 1,458 students were recommended to receive eyeglasses, and more than 100 students were identified for advanced treatment, which was also recommended to be provided free of cost by Dr. Agarwal's Eye Research Centre Foundation. The free eyeglasses distribution ceremony was inaugurated on 16.10.2025 by Krishnagiri District Collector Mr. C. Dinesh Kumar, IAS, in the presence of Hosur Sub-Collector Mrs. Akruthi Sethi, IAS; Krishnagiri Principal Education Officer Mr. A. Muniraj; Hosur District Education Officer Mrs. R. V. Ramavathi; Former Arima District Governor Ln. N. P. Senthilkumar, MJF; Ln. Dr. Y. V. S. Reddy; and other Arima Sangam officials. The initiative was jointly organized by Hosur Grand Rotary Sangam, Krishnagiri Kurinji International Trust, Hosur Sipcot Arima Sangam, Hosur Rose City Arima Sangam, and Hosur Hills Arima Sangam.

More than one hundred members of the public with vision problems participated in the camp, underwent eye examinations, and were provided with medicines.
